Prime Minister Narendra Modi took part in the 'langar', the communal kitchen meal, at the Takht Sri Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara in Patna, as an act of selfless service. This 'seva' act took place after the grand roadshow in the city that was organized the previous day.
Patna's Harmandir Sahib, also known as Patna Sahib, is of great spiritual value because it is the birthplace of the 10th Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Govind Singh. Therefore, it is always flocked by a large number of Sikh devotees from across the world who come here every day for worship.
Under strict security, the Prime Minister, donning a saffron turban, visited the Gurudwara and was given a warm welcome by the pilgrims and members of the Gurudwara. As the rituals, PM Modi took part in the langar and distributed it to the other devotees who were present there.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister is expected to hold three rallies in Bihar at Hajipur, Saran, and Muzaffarpur.
