Amit Shah will be in his home state of Gujarat on Tuesday, marking a series of events celebrating his birthday.
He would be attending the 14th All India Civil Defence and Home Guards Conference at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. This is the first such two-day conference being held in the state capital after a 19-year gap. It will be attended by key dignitaries such as Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Minister of State for Home Affairs Harsh Sanghvi. A string of senior officials from various states and central agencies too, has been called for the conference.
The Home Minister will be in Anand on Wednesday to attend two important events-the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) Diamond Jubilee-which culminates on that day-and the birth anniversary programme of Amul founder Tribhuvandas Patel.
The NDDB celebration is owing to 60 years of the contribution of the organization to the dairy industry of India. The contribution has brought a lot of change in the state economy. For this event of NDDB, the speech has been given by the state governor in the presence of Amit Shah, chief guest. The reason behind this event was to showcase how this institution turned India into the world's largest milk-producers. A tribute is being paid at the event to the founder, Tribhuvandas Patel, who had conceptualized the creation of Amul-India's most successful dairy cooperative.
