In response, Yadav founded his own political party, Jan Adhikar Party (JAP), in 2015. With his extensive political experience, including a previous term as a Member of Parliament, Yadav brings considerable clout to his new alliance with the Congress. Notably, his wife, Ranjit Ranjan, currently serves as a Rajya Sabha MP from the Congress.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Pappu Yadav made headlines by defeating the then JD(U) President Sharad Yadav in Madhepura. His decision to merge his party with the Congress may not come as a surprise to many political observers, given his consistent praise for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his endorsement of Gandhi as the Prime Ministerial candidate for the Opposition.

While speculations were rife about Yadav's potential alliance with the RJD in Bihar, recent developments have put those rumors to rest. By aligning with the Congress, Pappu Yadav has signaled a new chapter in his political journey, one that could have significant implications for the political landscape of Bihar and beyond.
