Delhi govt to double MLAs' salary, Bill on Monday

The Bill to hike the salary will be introduced on the first day of the special session of Delhi Legislative Assembly to be commenced from July 4 (Monday). Delhi Law and Justice and Legislative Affairs Minister Kailash Gahlot will table the Bill on Monday, said an official. As per a source, the minister will table the Bill seeking a hike of 66 per cent in the salary and allowances of ministers, MLAs, chief whip, Speaker, deputy Speaker and the opposition leader.

Telangana intelligence officer 'caught' during BJP national executive meet

The incident occurred before the start of the second day proceedings at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC). Senior leader Indrasena Reddy told reporters that the officer was caught when he was taking photos of the draft resolutions kept on the tables at the meeting hall. The officer, who identified himself as intelligence inspector Srinivas Rao, entered the meeting hall with a police pass.
