BJP's Sanjay Jaiswal raises Bhagalpur murder in Lok Sabha
A woman died after a man cut off her breasts, hands, legs and ears with a sharp weapon at a public market. The incident took place on Saturday at the Pirpainti market in Bhagalpur district. Speaking at the Lok Sabha on the opening day of the Winter Session of Parliament, Jaiswal accused the SSP of Bhagalpur of shielding the accused.
'BJP could have focused more on MCD polls had Gujarat, Himachal elections didn't coincide'
Asserting that the BJP would perform well in Gujarat where counting of votes will be taken up on Thursday, Sarma said, "In Delhi, contrary to the predictions (by exit polls) of 60-70 seats, we (BJP) performed much better to win 104 wards. Had the Assembly elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh did not coincide with the MCD polls, we could have focused more on the MCD elections."
Counting begins for Gujarat Assembly polls
Counting of EVM votes will begin from 8.30 a.m. Candidates with their supporters and counting agents have reached the stations. Chief Electoral Officer P. Bharathi said a total of 3,16,06,968 votes will be counted. There are 3 centers, Surat (2), Anand (2), and in rest all districts counting will take place one center each.
Counting of votes for BJP-ruled Himachal Assembly begins
The high-stake election was held on November 12, sealing the electoral fate of 412 candidates, including 24 women. A 75.60 per cent voter turnout was recorded, breaking the 2017 record of 75.57 per cent. The counting of votes began at 8 a.m. at 68 centres in 59 locations. The results will decide the political fate of BJP leader and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and his 10 ministerial colleagues, besides Congress Legislature Party Leader Mukesh Agnihotri and former state Congress chief Sukhwinder Sukhu.

MCD polls: AAP loses Muslim vote share to Congress
The results of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections for which polling was held on December 4 gave a clear majority to the AAP which bagged 134 of the 250 wards, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) finishing second with 104 wards. In fact, the nine wards that went to the Congress' fold was mainly due to the support the grand old party received from the Muslim electorate.
Not sad on being called Siddramullah Khan: Siddaramaiah
National General Secretary and BJP MLA C.T. Ravi had attacked Siddaramaiah and called him 'Siddramullah Khan'. Later the ruling BJP party supported him on his statement. "BJP has made lies, propaganda and assassination of character as part of their political propaganda. It's attempt to give me the Muslim name, Sidramullah Khan, is not surprising," he said.
