BJP censors Dilip Ghosh, bars him from speaking to media

BJP's national general secretary and headquarters in-charge, Arun Singh, in a letter to Ghosh pointed out that certain statements and outbursts by the latter have not only angered the state party leaders, but also embarrassed the central leadership. "This was pointed out to you on several occasions by the party leadership in the fond hope that you will take note," read Singh's letter, a copy of which was accessed by IANS.
Not a PM, just a 'pradhan sevak': Modi

Hardik Patel to join BJP on June 2

Confirming the development, BJP spokesman Bharat Dangar said that Patel, along with his supporters, will join the saffron party in the presence of the party state president C.R.Patil and former Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel at 12 p.m. Shweta Brahmbhatt, who had contested Assembly elections from Maninagar constituency on Congress symbol, is also set to join the BJP the same day, party sources said.
RS polls: 8 BJP candidates from UP file nominations

The BJP nominees were accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, state president Swatantra Dev Singh and two deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, when they filed their papers at the Vidhan Bhawan. The BJP candidates, who filed their nomination papers on Tuesday, include Laxmikant Bajpai, Dr Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, Surendra Nagar, Babu Ram Nishad, Sangeeta Yadav, Darshana Singh, Dr K. Laxman and Mithilesh Kumar.
Hardik likely to join BJP on June 2: Sources

Though neither Patel nor the BJP has confirmed it officially, the sources said that he has sent messages to reporters informing them about the development. Last week, in an interview to a national news channel, Hardik Patel had dropped hints about joining the saffron party on May 31. But when no such event took place, the mediapersons started inquiring about it.

Naqvi, Javadekar missing from BJP's list for RS polls

The BJP has so far released the names of 22 candidates in three lists for the June 10 election. The list misses the names of Union Minority Affairs Minister Naqvi, former Union Minister Prakash Javadekar, party national general secretary Dushyant Gautam, former national vice president Dr Vinay Sahastrabuddhe, former Union Minister Shiv Pratap Shukla and national spokesperson Syed Zafar Islam.
