All the BJP candidates -- Piyush Goyal, Anil Bonde and Dhananjay Mahadik have won the Rajya Sabha elections. The victors from the MVA are -- Sanjay Raut (Shiv Sena), Praful Patel (NCP) and Imran Pratapgarhi (Congress).

Counting of votes for two RS seats in Haryana put on hold
Counting of votes for the two Rajya Sabha seats in Haryana was put on hold on Friday after the BJP candidate and an Independent nominee backed by the saffron camp urged the Election Commission to cancel the votes of two Congress MLAs. BJP nominee Krishan Lal Panwar and Independent candidate Kartikeya Sharma wrote to the EC alleging that Congress MLAs -- Kiran Choudhary and B.B. Batra -- showed their ballot papers to unauthorised persons after marking them.

Gehlot's role is being lauded as the Congress managed to win three out of four Rajya Sabha seats in Rajasthan. Prophet remarks row: Delhi court sends 30 AIMIM workers to judicial custody
A Delhi court on Friday sent 30 All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) party activists to 3-day judicial custody on various charges, including rioting, during a protest against suspended Bharatiya Janata Party leaders who had made controversial remarks against Prophet Mohammed. Several members of the AIMIM had gathered outside the Parliament Street police station to register their protest.
By ignoring Chinese incursion govt betraying India: Rahul Gandhi
Rahul Gandhi tweeted,"China is building the foundations for hostile action in the future. By ignoring it, the Govt is betraying India." The comments come in wake of a US senior military official flagging the issue which was rejected by the Chinese officials who had alleged that it's like adding fuel to fire. Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian said, "This border issue is between China and India. The two sides have the will and capability to properly resolve the issue through talks."
