25 Shiv Sena MLAs in Surat hotel, Maharashtra Minister Eknath Shinde too arrives early morning
Highly placed sources said that first 11 rooms were booked in Le Meridien hotel, and around 9.30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday, 11 MLAs arrived in Surat and checked in the hotel. The other big group led by Maharashtra Urban development minister Eknath Shinde reached Surat around 1.30 a.m. with 14 MLAs on Tuesday.

PM Modi was accorded a traditional welcome and the main priest Shashishekar Dixit conducted special prayers as per the wish of the Prime Minister on Monday evening. The Prime Minister came to the temple in traditional south Indian attire. He worshipped Maha Ganapati idol and later performed pooja to the padukas of goddess Chamundeshwari. Afterwards, he sat with the main priest in front of the sanctum sanctorum and offered special prayers.
