Posters in favour of Nupur Sharma circulated in Bihar's Gopalganj
The posters, containing "I support Nupur Sharma" were distributed at several places and important Chowks, educational centres, parks and temples in the city. Sources have said that it could be a handiwork of anti-social elements to create disturbance in the area. They probably pasted the posters on Sunday night. The Gopalganj administration, however, has now removed them.
'I am fine': Chidambaram after hairline fracture

Senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge met Sharad Pawar last Thursday, with a message from party chief Sonia Gandhi. The two leaders met in Mumbai. The Congress is in full support if Sharad Pawar throws his hat in the ring while Mamata Banerjee has called a meeting of the opposition parties on June 15. On the same day Pawar will be meeting leaders of like minded parties. However Pawar has not responded to the suggestions till now.
Bill to replace Guv with CM as state varsities' chancellor passed in Bengal assembly
However, on Monday, a bill pertaining only to the universities under the state education department was passed. In the coming days of the monsoon session of the West Bengal assembly, similar bills for replacement of the governor with the chief minister as chancellors for universities under other departments namely health, agricultural, animal husbandry and fishery will also be passed.
13 elected unopposed to UP Legislative Assembly
The elected candidates include nine from the BJP and four from the Samajwadi Party. Seven ministers of the Yogi Adityanath government are among the elected candidates. They include Maurya, Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh, Daya Shankar Mishra 'Dayalu', J.P.S. Rathore, Narendra Kashyap, Jaswant Saini and Danish Azad Ansari and two others - Lucknow BJP chief Mukesh Sharma and Banwarilal Dohre.

The questioning of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi by the Enforcement Directorate has once again started after a break of a couple of hours in connection with the National Herald case.

According to an official, three senior officers of the financial probe agency questioned the former Congress president. "The team consisted of two Assistant Directors and one Deputy Director," said the official.Earlier, Gandhi reached the ED office located at Paryavaran Bhavan on APJ Abdul Kalam Road amid heavy police deployment that was put in place to restrain party workers from carrying out a rally from Congress HQ to the ED office.

There was heavy police deployment in and around the ED office located at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Road. As he left the party headquarters at 24 Akbar Road, several Congress workers accompanied him. The police however, did not allow them to move further and only Rahul Gandhi was permitted.

The people were stopped at least 1 Km before the ED office with the Delhi Police placing a barricade there. The Congress workers sat just before the barricade and raised slogans in favour of their leader and against the present dispensation at the Centre. "I will say only one thing - Satyamev Jayate (Truth alone triumphs)," Senior Congress leader Harish Rawat, who was present there, said.
