Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a speech in Maharashtra's Solapur, emphasized that his government is guided by the principles of governance inspired by Lord Ram. He urged people to light "Ram Jyoti" on January 22, coinciding with the consecration of the Ayodhya Ram temple, as a symbol of inspiration to eradicate poverty from their lives. PM Modi guaranteed that India would be among the top three global economies under his leadership, a promise he pledged to fulfill in his third term with the blessings of the people.
Addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone for 8 AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) projects worth around Rs 2,000 crore, PM Modi reiterated his commitment to fulfilling goals for the welfare and empowerment of the poor. He dedicated over 90,000 houses completed under PMAY-Urban in Maharashtra and kickstarted the distribution of instalments to beneficiaries of PM-SVANIDHI.
PM Modi highlighted achievements such as constructing over 10 crore toilets and providing more than four crore pucca houses, emphasizing his government's focus on the welfare and dignity of labor. He stressed the importance of making India self-reliant for its development and appealed to people to dream big, assuring them that their dreams are his pledge.
The Prime Minister also expressed joy over the upcoming consecration of the Ayodhya Ram temple and urged people to embrace the divine atmosphere. He shared his happiness about the removal of Lord Ram's worship in a tent, expressing his involvement in the rituals leading up to the historic moment on January 22.
Reflecting on his ties with Solapur, PM Modi mentioned his close association with the Padmashali community and highlighted the contributions of the people and the progressive government in Maharashtra. He underscored his government's support for artisans and craftspeople through schemes like PM Vishwakarma, facilitating bank loans for the poor and deprived sections of society.
PM Modi concluded by affirming the need for a self-reliant India to create a developed nation, emphasizing his government's assistance to MSMEs for the realization of this vision.
