Prime Minister Narendra Modi, concluding an extensive campaign in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh on the final day, emphasized the voters' trust in the BJP as the party's most significant asset.
Modi expressed gratitude for seeking the blessings of the people of Madhya Pradesh, considering it a special and invaluable experience. He urged voters to support the BJP for the state's development.
In his address, the Prime Minister criticized the Congress, asserting that the party lacks a vision or roadmap for development. He claimed that people are dissatisfied with dynastic and negative politics. Modi's appeal to voters underscored the importance of choosing a party with a clear agenda for progress and development in Madhya Pradesh.
In a post on X, in Hindi, Modi said, “This time's campaign for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, especially the campaign to seek blessings from the public, was very special. I went to every corner of the state, met and interacted with many people. The affection that the people have for the BJP, the faith they have in the BJP, is our biggest asset.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the growing influence of "nari shakti" (women power) in Madhya Pradesh during the ongoing elections, emphasizing that women are actively supporting the BJP.
Expressing the BJP's commitment to women's empowerment, Modi stated that women in Madhya Pradesh have prioritized the return of the BJP government. He noted the significance of the current generation looking ahead to the next 25 years of India, and their active participation in shaping the country's future.
The Prime Minister praised the youth for stepping forward to fulfill their responsibility in building a developed India over the next 25 years. He asserted that there is a widespread belief that only the BJP can transform Madhya Pradesh into a developed state in the 21st century.
Modi underscored the benefits of a "double engine government" in Madhya Pradesh, highlighting the cooperation between the state and central governments. He acknowledged the electorate's understanding of the necessity of this collaborative approach.
During his rallies, Modi observed the dissatisfaction among Madhya Pradesh residents with dynastic politics and the negativity of the Congress. He criticized the Congress for lacking a vision and roadmap for the state's development. Modi appealed to all voters in Madhya Pradesh to choose the BJP and its symbol, the lotus, for the state's development and the progress of India.
The polling for the 230-member Madhya Pradesh Assembly is scheduled for November 17, with counting of votes set for December 3. The campaigning for the Assembly elections concluded on Wednesday evening.
