Mamata Banerjee Likely to Participate in Niti Aayog Meeting in Delhi by End of July

Sources within the Trinamool Congress stated that Banerjee will be in Delhi possibly from July 25 to July 28. A state Cabinet minister, who wished anonymity, disclosed that Chief Minister will attend the meeting of the Niti Aayog, to which all Chief Ministers of states have been invited, besides holding discussions with the Trinamool members in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha to chalk out a party strategy in the forthcoming sessions.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to visit Delhi by the end of this month. Sources said she will attend the Niti Aayog governing council meeting scheduled on June 27 where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the meeting.

Though there is no information available on any likely meetings between Banerjee and leaders of the opposition INDIA bloc or other non-BJP Chief Ministers during her visit to Delhi, political analysts described the visit as very significant. The Trinamool Congress has already got significant prominence in the bloc known as the INDIA bloc after its impressive performances at the Lok Sabha and Assembly by-polls.
