Lokesh Claims: 35 Sitting MLAs of YSRCP Decline Contesting, Reveals Inside Insights

According to Lokesh, this development signals impending challenges for the YSRCP after the elections.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) General Secretary, Nara Lokesh, has asserted that 35 incumbent MLAs from the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) have declined to contest in the upcoming Assembly elections. According to Lokesh, this development signals impending challenges for the YSRCP after the elections.

Taking to 'X,' the TDP leader claimed that YSRCP MLAs and MPs are fleeing due to growing apprehension of public discontent. Sharing a list of the changed MLAs and MPs within the YSRCP, Lokesh disclosed that 35 sitting MLAs have opted not to contest from their current seats.

He argued that the reshuffling and reassignment of MLAs and MPs reflect a sense of fear regarding potential defeat and a lack of confidence among the YSRCP's members.

"In addition to these 35, we also hear that 50 more YSRCP MLAs are also reluctant to contest from their constituencies. However, whether they are choosing to step back or switch seats, nothing will prevent the YSRCP's ship from sinking," Lokesh added.

Lokesh also shared a list of three Lok Sabha constituencies and 24 Assembly segments where the YSRCP has appointed new coordinators. This development further underscores the party's efforts to adapt to changing dynamics as the elections approach.
