In a strategic move ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, currently under scrutiny from the Enforcement Directorate, is poised to embark on a three-day tour of Gujarat starting January 6.
According to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), this tour signifies a crucial step in the party's campaign efforts for the Lok Sabha polls.
During his visit, the Delhi Chief Minister is scheduled to participate in a series of public meetings, addressing both the general public and dedicated party workers. These engagements aim to strengthen the AAP's presence and garner support in the state as the party prepares for the national polls.
A notable aspect of Kejriwal's tour is expected to be his meeting with the incarcerated AAP leader Chaitar Vasava. However, the specifics of this meeting are yet to be disclosed.
This tour assumes added significance in light of recent allegations by AAP leaders expressing concerns about the possibility of the Enforcement Directorate arresting Kejriwal in connection with a money laundering case linked to the excise policy.
Therefore, this tour not only serves as a campaign strategy but also comes at a crucial juncture when the party is confronting increased scrutiny and challenges on the national stage.
