Prime Minister Narendra Modi lambasted the INDIA bloc on Wednesday, denouncing it as "extremely communal, casteist, and nepotistic." He alleged that parties aligned with the Congress bear responsibility for the anti-Sikh riots. Speaking at a rally in Dwarka, he reiterated the BJP's commitment to a development model focused on "nation first," contrasting it with the Congress and INDIA alliance's emphasis on "family first." Modi accused the Congress of practicing appeasement politics for its vote bank while refuting claims of fostering communal division himself.
He countered accusations of playing Hindu-Muslim politics by accusing the Congress of engaging in "vote jihad." Modi claimed that a Congress-led government aims to redistribute the country's wealth, including that of marginalized communities, to Muslims. He characterized the INDI alliance as emblematic of various societal evils, labeling them highly communal, casteist, and family-centric.
Asserting that every vote for the BJP strengthens the vision of a developed India, Modi rallied the crowd with the slogan "Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar." He criticized the Congress and INDIA bloc, referencing the Sikh riots in Delhi and attributing them to the Congress. Modi highlighted his administration's efforts to deliver justice to the victims through the formation of an SIT and the reopening of hundreds of cases.
Further attacking the Congress, Modi accused them of using educational institutions for vote bank politics, citing the example of Jamia Millia Islamia's reservation policy favoring Muslims during their tenure. He criticized the expansion of the Minority Educational Institution Commission's authority by the Congress, alleging that it marginalized SC/ST/OBC communities based on religion.
"They say I do Hindu-Muslim politics. It is they who do vote jihad. I am only exposing them with facts."
"The BJP's development model says, nation First. On the other hand, Congress and the INDI alliance's only agenda is family first. This INDI alliance is a symbol of every evil that exists in the country today. They are highly communal, casteist, and family-oriented. Our Delhi has been a direct witness to their communalism. The Lutyens gang and the Khan Market gang in Delhi have spent their lives protecting these deeply communal people," he charged.
Modi accused the Congress of tarnishing the image of the 2010 Commonwealth Games through corruption while commending Delhi for successfully hosting the G20 summit. He took a veiled jab at Rahul Gandhi, referring to him as the "shehzada" of Congress, and criticized the party's historical treatment of Dalits, backward classes, and tribals.
Modi said, "Many times, even though speaking thousands of lies, the truth eventually comes out of the Shehzada's mouth. Today, the Shehzada of Congress has accepted a big truth. The Shehzada has admitted that the system established during his grandmother's, father's, and mother's time, was vehemently opposed to Dalits, backward classes, and tribals. This very system of Congress has destroyed many generations of SC-ST-OBC. Today, the Shehzada himself has acknowledged this fact."
Turning his attention to the INDIA bloc, Modi condemned its members as "extremely communal," "extremely casteist," and "extremely nepotistic." He singled out Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of corruption and betrayal. Modi pledged to root out corruption and recover stolen funds upon his return for a third term.
"These people have left no stone unturned to loot the people of Delhi and even courts are stunned by this. The people who came to change politics did the biggest betrayal with the people of Delhi," he said
Highlighting the achievements of the BJP-led government, Modi contrasted them with the Congress' tenure, citing advancements in healthcare and infrastructure development. He appealed for votes, emphasizing the need for a strong government and Prime Minister to ensure Delhi's prosperity as the nation's heart.
