I accept my mistake, but PM Modi shouldn't be involved in this: Rupala, Union Minister

Acknowledging his mistake, Minister Rupala emphasized the significant contributions of the Kshatriya community to both the nation and the BJP.

At a recent BJP event in Jasdan, Rajkot, Union Minister Parshottam Rupala took the opportunity to address the concerns of the Kshatriya community, urging them not to direct their frustration towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Acknowledging his mistake, Minister Rupala emphasized the significant contributions of the Kshatriya community to both the nation and the BJP.

His previous remarks had sparked discontent among the Kshatriya community, particularly due to comments against the Maharajas. "I apologized for my error directly to the community," Rupala clarified.

He stressed that it would be unjust to involve PM Modi in the issue, highlighting the Prime Minister's tireless dedication to the nation. "PM Modi dedicates nearly 18 hours a day to serving the country. He considers all 1.4 billion people of India as his family. While I admit my mistake, I believe it would be inappropriate for the Kshatriya community to oppose the Prime Minister. This transcends politics; it's about the welfare of our nation," the Union Minister appealed.

Amid growing protests from the Kshatriya community potentially impacting the BJP's electoral performance, Rupala urged for a non-political resolution. "This isn't about winning or losing elections; it's about fostering unity in our society," he emphasized, urging Kshatriya leaders to prioritize dialogue over politicizing grievances.

Despite the unrest, Kshatriya community leaders from South Gujarat reaffirmed their support for the BJP after a meeting with Gujarat BJP chief, CR Patil in Surat on April 25.

In the midst of these developments, PM Modi is slated to ramp up the BJP's campaign efforts in Gujarat with six election rallies scheduled on May 1 and 2 in Deesa, Himmatnagar, Anand, Wadhwan, Junagarh, and Jamnagar.

Sources within the BJP indicate that PM Modi will kickstart his campaign in Himmatnagar and Deesa on May 1, followed by rallies in Anand, Wadhwan, Jamnagar, and Junagarh the following day. He is also scheduled to spend the night in the state capital on May 1.
