Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently spoke fondly of the Howdy Modi event, thanking US President Donald Trump in the most heartfelt manner for his extraordinary gesture.
He remembered how Trump not only listened carefully to his entire address but, in a first-time move, walked with him around the stadium to greet the audience, even when strict security protocols were in place.
PM Modi valued the fine relationship of confidence and camaraderie he has with Trump, emphasizing the tight bond they have built over time.
Discussing their ideological similarity, he pointed out how Trump's "America First" strategy is in keeping with his own "Nation First" and "Bharat First" belief.
PM Modi expressed these views in a comprehensive conversation with American podcaster Lex Fridman, which was broadcast on Sunday.
This common vision, he described, brings a natural synergy among the two leaders. He also credited Trump with consistently acknowledging him openly as a great negotiator on several occasions.
For Trump, the agenda continues to be America first, as PM Modi stays committed to Bharat's growth.
The Prime Minister made it clear that his commitment to India's interests is not a matter of putting others at a disadvantage but fulfilling the aspirations of 140 crore Indians who have reposed faith in him.
Thinking back, he mentioned that Trump seems very focused in his second term and has had a good team around him, most of whom he has been able to meet.
Shifting the conversation, PM Modi fondly spoke about his long-standing rapport with Elon Musk, dating back to his days as Chief Minister.
He described their recent meeting as warm and familial, even mentioning Musk’s enthusiasm for DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency).
Highlighting governance reforms under his leadership, PM Modi explained how his administration has embraced efficiency and transparency—principles that align with DOGE’s philosophy.
As soon as he took charge, his administration removed 10 crore fake beneficiaries of welfare schemes so that Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) goes to the rightful beneficiaries and saved the country Rs 3 lakh crore.
Furthermore, his administration has also repealed 1,500 redundant laws and dismantled more than 45,000 unnecessary compliances so that the government is streamlined and more citizen-centric.
By these observations, PM Modi projected a leadership style based on trust, partnership, and a goal-oriented dedication to the people.
