Ravi Kishan's spouse also alleged in the complaint that Aparna Soni, also known as Aparna Thakur, had threatened her, claiming connections with the underworld. Reportedly, she demanded a sum of Rs 20 crore as ransom, warning that failure to comply would result in tarnishing Ravi Kishan's reputation by falsely implicating him in a rape case.

The report further stated that a complaint regarding this matter was lodged with the Mumbai Police, but Aparna held a press conference in Lucknow on April 15, making baseless accusations.
