In a significant address to a massive gathering in Assam's Nalbari district, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed the commitment of the BJP-led government to equitable distribution of welfare measures. He emphasized that irrespective of background, all citizens have received benefits under various schemes without discrimination.
PM Modi further outlined plans for household solar panel installations to provide free electricity nationwide. "Our initiative to install solar power cells on rooftops will not only eliminate electricity bills but also reduce travel costs for electric vehicle owners in the future," he declared, assuring that the scheme would remain inclusive and non-discriminatory.
Highlighting the upcoming extension of free treatment under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme to senior citizens aged 70 and above, PM Modi assured that this initiative would benefit individuals regardless of their socio-economic status. "Every family, regardless of their financial standing, will be eligible for government-sponsored treatment," he emphasized.
Taking a swipe at the Congress party, PM Modi accused previous governments of neglecting the northeast region. He contrasted this with his administration's focus on development, citing the significant expansion of national highways in Assam over the past decade.
PM Modi also referenced the Lakhpati Didi scheme, aimed at empowering three crore women across the nation. He expressed confidence that women in Assam would seize opportunities, including becoming drone pilots, through this initiative.
The Prime Minister underscored the positive impact of abolishing triple talaq on Muslim society in Assam, asserting that the decision had relieved many families. He reiterated his unwavering commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of every Indian, emphasizing his dedication with the slogan "24 x 7 for 2047."
Warning against the potential consequences of voting for the opposition, PM Modi urged support for the BJP to propel India toward becoming a global leader in development.
