Arriving promptly at the Esplanade Metro Station at 10 a.m., Prime Minister Modi ceremoniously inaugurated a series of groundbreaking metro railway projects spanning the nation, including the pivotal link connecting Howrah to Esplanade. Joining him at the inauguration ceremony were esteemed dignitaries such as West Bengal Governor, CV Ananda Bose, along with prominent figures like the Leader of Opposition, Suvendu Adhikari, and the BJP's state President, Sukanta Majumdar.
