Daro mat, bhaago mat': PM Modi's Sharp Rebuke of 'Shehzada' and Congress Elite

In a sarcastic tone, PM Modi appealed to Rahul not to run away from the contest and to face Amethi bravely. Huge applauds from the crowd greeted the statement. Modi mocked him for his fear of contesting in Amethi and taking shelter in Raebareli.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi lashed out at the decision of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to fight elections from a Lok Sabha constituency of Raebareli, traditionally held by his mother Sonia Gandhi, in a big public address at Bardhaman in West Bengal. He sneered at Rahul's own words and mocked him for "abandoning" Amethi, his traditional stronghold, for Raebareli.

Further, Modi mocked that Sonia Gandhi had retired from contesting in Lok Sabha elections to get her a Rajya Sabha seat in Rajasthan. He has predicted that Rahul has fled Amethi for the more winnable seat of Raebareli. He said that all these people were hoping that Rahul would stand from Amethi but he fled Amethi because of fear, and now chose Raebareli. He sarcastically echoed Rahul's statement, "Don't be afraid, don't run away". He said that the Congress leadership was not brave enough as they claim.

Furthermore, Modi struck at Congress and its allies, accusing them of being into divisive politics, rather than being into real election contest. He told that the public know what they actually want, that they believe that they are interested in dividing the nation, rather than serving the country.
