Controversy Erupts as Kangana Ranaut Seeks CM’s Suite at Maharashtra Sadan in Delhi

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP and Chief Spokesperson Sanjay Raut called Ranaut's request preposterous, asking why she could not be accommodated at the Rashtrapati Bhavan instead of getting a glimpse of Maharashtra Bhavan. Congress ex-minister Yashomati Thakur was more lenient to Ranaut, excusing her plea as the latter is a new MP and might not know protocol.

NCP(SP) national spokesperson Clyde Crasto drew a reference to Ranaut's past statements where she had compared Mumbai and Maharashtra to Pakistan and asked what exactly had changed now and why was the state suddenly her second home. Dramatically, BJP MLA Nitesh N Rane jumped into the fray in Ranaut's defence turning the tables on the MVA leaders asking them to explain the alleged stay of former cop Sachin Vaze at Uddhav Thackeray's residence.

Caught in the middle of the controversy, the officials have been sensitively saying that as Ranaut represents Himachal Pradesh, such issues should be taken with Himachal Bhawan rather than Maharashtra Sadan.
