According to Verma, Kamal Nath emphasized his current priority of strategizing the caste dynamics for the upcoming elections in Madhya Pradesh and denied any contemplation of leaving the Congress party.

Moreover, Verma, who served as a minister in Kamal Nath's Congress government from 2018 to March 2020, asserted that Kamal Nath's conversation with Rahul Gandhi revolved around the upcoming Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, which is slated to commence in Madhya Pradesh shortly.
