Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted on Friday that the Congress party not only harbors animosity towards Hindus and their festivals but also aims to relegate Hindus to a subordinate status within their own nation.
Speaking at a public gathering in Narayanpet, located within the Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha constituency of Telangana, PM Modi launched a scathing critique of the Congress, accusing it of attempting to sow division in the country along lines of religion and caste.
"The Congress's disdain for Hindus and Hindu festivals is becoming increasingly apparent. The leader who mentored the 'prince' has openly expressed opposition to the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, going as far as to label it as detrimental to India's interests. This stance against the Ram temple and the observance of Ram Navami is antithetical to the essence of India," remarked the PM while addressing the sizable gathering.
"Even my visits to temples are branded as unpatriotic. Congress seems intent on relegating Hindus to a second-class status in their own land. Are they striving to reinstate the rule of Aurangzeb in India? Is this why they advocate for 'vote jihad'?" he queried.
PM Modi highlighted that the Congress's true agenda is centered around appeasing select communities for electoral gains, disregarding the welfare of the nation.
"The Congress is actively promoting religious-based reservations for Muslims, neglecting the needs of Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). The people of Telangana are well aware of how the Congress initiated the game of Muslim reservations in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh, and now they seek to replicate it nationwide. Will you stand by as Congress attempts to strip away reservations from SCs, STs, and OBCs? That's why it's crucial to remember – 'Vanchit Ka Jo Adhikaar Hai, Modi Uska Chaukidar Hai'," he emphasized.
PM Modi criticized the 'prince' of Congress, who prior to elections spoke of a "store of love" but is now spreading negativity in society.
Asserting that the ongoing elections will shape the nation's destiny, PM Modi underscored that voters are cognizant of the hollow promises made by Congress and its allies.
He also lambasted BRS President and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, as well as the current Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, for neglecting the Mahbubnagar constituency.
"Over the past decade, the nation has made significant strides. However, where has the funding allocated to Telangana been utilized? It has unfortunately transformed into a conduit for corruption, initially lining the pockets of BRS, and now Congress is pillaging Telangana in similar fashion."
"As much as BRS plundered over the years, Congress aims to perpetrate similar corruption in a matter of months. By touting industrial development, Congress has established a spurious video fabrication enterprise here. Congress has failed to address the Kaleshwaram scam under BRS's tenure. Since Congress assumed power, separate RR taxes have burdened Telangana. The repercussions of this tax burden reverberate all the way to Delhi," PM Modi added.
