This Opinion Poll, conducted just days before the commencement of the first phase of voting on April 19, aimed to capture the prevailing public sentiment across the nation. The results paint a picture of significant dominance by the BJP, which is anticipated to secure its largest-ever individual mandate, with projections reaching 342 seats. When combined with its allies, the NDA could surpass the ambitious target of 400 seats, a goal championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The latest survey conducted by INDIA TV in collaboration with the CNX agency indicates a clear trajectory for the upcoming parliamentary elections. According to the findings, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is poised for a sweeping victory, potentially securing close to 400 seats, while the Congress-led INDIA bloc is projected to fall short, likely confined within the 100-seat mark.

Contrary to the BJP's sweeping projections, the INDIA bloc is anticipated to face a challenging electoral landscape, with most of its constituents struggling to secure double-digit seat counts. The Congress, as the principal opposition party, is forecasted to win a modest 38 seats, while other constituents such as the Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party, and the DMK are expected to secure victories in 19, 3, and 18 seats respectively. Additionally, independent candidates and other parties are estimated to win close to 90 seats collectively.

The BJP's electoral dominance extends across various states, with predictions suggesting a 'saffron' wave sweeping through regions such as Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the two largest states in the Hindi heartland, are also anticipated to witness significant victories for the BJP and its alliance partners.

In Uttar Pradesh, the BJP is projected to win an overwhelming majority, securing 73 out of 80 seats, with the remaining seats divided among its allies. Similarly, in Bihar, the alliance is expected to claim victory in 38 seats, with the BJP alone winning 17 seats and its partner JD securing 14 seats.

States like Jharkhand, Assam, Bengal, Karnataka, and Maharashtra are also likely to contribute substantially to the BJP's electoral tally, with the party expected to secure a significant portion of seats in each region.

Despite the BJP's strong showing, regional parties like the Trinamool Congress, DMK, YSRCP, TDP, and Biju Janata Dal are forecasted to secure a notable number of seats in their respective states. However, their influence appears to be waning in the face of the BJP's electoral juggernaut.

The survey, conducted across all 543 constituencies and gathering opinions from nearly 1.80 lakh individuals between March 1 and March 30, provides a comprehensive insight into the anticipated electoral landscape for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
