The Bharatiya Janata Party's state President, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, an ally of the ruling party, confidently projected Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as the forthcoming Chief Minister, envisioning his swearing-in at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium in 2024.
During a spirited party workers' gathering in Lakhni town, Bawankule posed the question of Maharashtra's next CM post the Assembly elections, prompting an enthusiastic response from the crowd echoing 'Fadnavis, Fadnavis,' met with cheers and applause.
Encouraged by the vibrant atmosphere, Bawankule urged party activists to commit to three pivotal goals for the upcoming year.
The primary objective is to secure 45 MPs from Maharashtra, bolstering Prime Minister Narendra Modi's position and paving the way for his third consecutive term in May 2024. This entails ensuring the victory of the Bhandara BJP candidate with the highest majority.
Secondly, dedicated efforts are to be directed towards ensuring Devendra Fadnavis's re-election as the Chief Minister, representing the ruling MahaYuti alliance, marked by a grand ceremony at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.
The third commitment involves unwavering support for any official BJP candidate in forthcoming municipal corporation/council and other civic elections, striving for their triumphant success through substantial votes.
Bawankule urged all BJP workers to devote three hours daily over the next 13 months to achieve these three crucial objectives.
In a veiled reference to former CM and Shiv Sena (UBT) President Uddhav Thackeray, Bawankule remarked, "there is only one tiger in Maharashtra, and that is Fadnavis."
The enthusiastic response from the gathering resonated with the BJP chief's call, firmly resolving to work towards the three set political targets for 2024.
This spirited meeting unfolded against the backdrop of the BJP's triumphant hat-trick, clinching victories in three states—Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh—in the recently concluded Assembly elections whose results were unveiled on Sunday.
