Initially, the BJP candidate took the lead, only for Revanth Reddy to surge ahead in subsequent rounds. KCR also had a brief lead in some rounds, creating a highly dynamic and suspenseful atmosphere during the counting process.

The final outcome was marked by a dramatic conclusion, with Venkat Ramna Reddy emerging as the sole local candidate among the three main contenders. KCR, hailing from undivided Medak district, and Revanth Reddy, from undivided Mahabubnagar district, both experienced defeat in Kamareddy.

Despite this setback, it's worth noting that both KCR and Revanth Reddy had secured victories in their home constituencies of Gajwel and Kodangal, respectively. KCR secured his position in Gajwel for a third consecutive term, while Revanth Reddy made a successful comeback in Kodangal after facing defeat in the same constituency in 2018.
