The decision on their appointments transpired during a sequence of deliberations Reddy held in New Delhi on Wednesday. His meetings with key leaders such as AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and other influential figures culminated in finalizing the selections.

Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, previously the leader of Congress Legislature Party (CLP) in the dissolved Assembly, is likely to assume the role of deputy chief minister. Both Vikramarka and Uttam Kumar Reddy were initially viewed as potential contenders for the chief ministerial position.
