Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday offered puja at the revamped India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) complex ahead of its inauguration. The redeveloped ITPO complex at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi will host G20 Summit later this year. The G20 Leaders' Summit is scheduled to take place on September 9 and 10 under India's presidency.

The Pragati Maidan complex sprawls over approximately 123 acres, securing its place as India's largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination. When it comes to event spaces, the revamped and contemporary exhibition complex ranks among the top 10 in the world, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with esteemed names like Germany's Hannover Exhibition Centre and Shanghai's National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), according to an official statement.
 

With a seating capacity of 7,000 individuals, Level 3 of the convention centre proves to be an ideal venue for hosting grand conferences, international summits, and cultural extravaganzas on a global scale.

Within the exhibition halls, seven innovative spaces await to showcase products, innovations, and ideas.
 

These cutting-edge halls create an ideal platform for exhibitors and companies to engage with their target audience, fostering business growth and networking opportunities. Among its remarkable features, the renovated exhibition ground boasts an amphitheater with seating for 3,000 individuals and offers ample parking space for 5,500 vehicles.

Previously, the only major centre of this magnitude in Delhi was Vigyan Bhawan, constructed back in 1956. However, considering India's escalating prominence in the global order, Vigyan Bhawan fell short in meeting future requirements.
