As the situation in Ayodhya remained calm, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Monday said that they will not have any major events to mark the day and instead focus on continuing the construction of the Ram temple. The security was intensified in both Uttar Pradesh cities of Ayodhya and Mathura and the holy city has been divided into multiple security zones. Security forces have been posted at all sensitive zones on high alert. In addition to this, the magistrates were also instructed to remain vigilant and keep a tab on all major and minor developments.

VHP President Alok Kumar terms December 6 as Shaurya Diwas | Key points


1. "6th December is a big day for the whole country. That's why VHP branch Bajrang Dal celebrates 6th December as 'Shaurya Diwas'. Just like in the past there are programmes and events to mark the day. Programme will be held in the same way," Alok Kumar told news agency IANS.

2. Alok also said that once the reconstruction of the Ram Temple is completed, the issue of Mathura will be raised as well. "In 2024, will consider the Mathura dispute," he added.

3. The Muslim community in Ayodhya will not be organising any sort of event except for offering prayers to the ones who died in the violence after the demolition, as per media report. The main petitioner of the case, Haji Mehboob, told IANS that there is no programme now because the judgement has come in favour of the temple but if the Mathura case is brought up, they will give a tough response.
