Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday posted two photographs with Prime Minister Narendra Modi showing the two leaders walking shoulder to shoulder. The photographs were taken during their morning meeting at Raj Bhavan in Lucknow the same day.

“Ham Nikal Pade Hai Pran Karke, Apna Tan Man Arpan Karke, Zid Hai Ek Surya Ugana Hai, Ambar Se Uncha Jaana Hai, Ek Bharat Naya Banana Hai(We have embarked on a journey, with a pledge, dedicating our mind and body, to make the sun rise; rise high above the sky and make a new India),” Yogi Adityanath wrote on Twitter along with the photographs that showed PM Modi's hand on Yogi’s shoulder while they seemed to be in a middle on a discussion.

Though details about the meeting between CM Yogi and PM Modi are unknown, as per media reports, the meeting went on for about 45 minutes before Modi left to attend the 56th All India conference of DGPs/IGPs in the Uttar Pradesh capital.

The UP chief minister's stature has been steadily growing in the BJP. Yogi was the only CM  to be invited physically to BJP’s national executive held in Delhi earlier this month. He also presented the party's political resolution at the meet. The photographs are being seen as a rare occurrence as party watchers were unable to recall another instance where the PM had shared a similar gesture towards another colleague.
