Sushant Singh Rajput was murdered, Disha Salian was raped and killed: Union Minister Rane

“I've done nothing wrong. They (Shiv Sena) enjoy power, so they arrested me. Maharashtra is no 1 in COVID. During COVID, they didn't take any action. Sushant Singh (Rajput) was murdered. Disha Salian was raped & killed, yet the perpetrators roam freely,” Rane said while talking to the media in Ratnagiri after resuming his ‘Jan Ashirwad yatra’

Raking up the mysterious death of Sushant Singh Rajput, Union Minister Narayan Rane on Friday said that the Bollywood actor was actually murdered. He also claimed that Disha Salian, the former manager of SSR, was first raped and then murdered. The Union minister alleged that in both cases, the Maharashtra government led by Uddhav Thackeray did nothing.

The Union Minister further said that he was arrested by the Maharashtra government despite the fact that he had committed no wrong.

Lashing out at the Uddhav government over its handling of the coronavirus pandemic, Union Minister Narayan Rane alleged that they did not take any action when the Covid cases were rising but arrested him because they “enjoy power.”

Rane also took a jibe at Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut saying that he speaks “without any sense.” Sanjay Raut had said that West Bengal is the “lion of the country” and that the BJP had to run away from the TMC-ruled state after suffering defeat from them.

The BJP Minister had said that “Vinayak and Sanjay Raut will lead to the fall of Shiv Sena.” Furthermore, he said, “the distance between Konkan and Kashmir represents the difference between Mamata Banerjee and her becoming the PM.”

Rane further alleged that Shiv Sena workers who came in front of his house to intimidate him were welcomed by the police after the controversy had erupted.

"Shiv Sainiks who came in front of my house were welcomed by the police. What has Shiv Sena given to the Konkan region in the last two years? They thought I would be scared if they took action against me. But our journey has been successful," he said.

The situation blew up ever since Union Minister and BJP leader Narayan Rane made a controversial comment in which he said Uddhav Thackeray had forgotten the year of independence and that he had felt like “slapping” him.

Rane was subsequently arrested by the police after Shiv Sena filed a complaint against him for his statement. However, he was released on bail in Raigad.
