Regarding Jammu and Kashmir, Gen Pande mentioned that the ceasefire understanding with Pakistan is holding along the Line of Control (LoC), though there have been attempts of infiltration, which the Indian Army is actively thwarting. While there is a decline in overall violence incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, the Rajouri-Poonch sector has seen an increase in such incidents.

Gen Pande expressed concerns about the situation along the Indo-Myanmar border and emphasized that developments are being closely monitored. He also noted that the integration of Agniveers into the Army is progressing well. Looking ahead, he mentioned that 2024 will be the year of technology adoption for the Indian Army as part of its overall modernization efforts.
