Rakesh Tikait, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), addressed the media after a coordination committee meeting of the SKM, highlighting the collective sentiment of frustration among farmers. He declared that February 26th would be observed as a 'black day' across the country to protest the non-implementation of their demands, particularly the enactment of a law guaranteeing the minimum support price (MSP) for crops.

Tikait outlined plans for a nationwide tractor march to be held on February 26th, with tractors permitted to ply on one side of national highways while the other side remains open for commuters. Furthermore, he announced that on March 14th, a 'mahapanchayat' would convene in Delhi to determine the subsequent course of action.

This decision underscores the gravity of the situation and the unwavering commitment of the farmers' movement to pursue their demands through peaceful yet resolute means.
