Punjab Police get seven-day police custody of Bishnoi
Bishnoi, who was brought from New Delhi after procuring the transit remand from Patiala House court, was produced in a Mansa court in Punjab at around 4 a.m. amid high-level security after his medical check-up. After securing the police remand, he was shifted to the Crime Investigating Agency (CIA) headquarters in Mohali, near here, for interrogation.
Autopsy reveals 24 bullet wounds on Sidhu Moosewala's body
A police source said that in less than two minutes 30 rounds were fired. After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family members. The last rites will be performed later in the day. In less than 24 hours after his security was curtailed by the government, Moosewala, 29, was shot dead by gangsters near his ancestral village in Mansa in broad daylight on Sunday.

Sidhu lodged in Patiala jail in 1988 road rage case
Earlier in the day, Sidhu requested the apex court to grant him a few more weeks to surrender, citing health grounds. Senior advocate A.M. Singhvi, appearing for Sidhu, requested to mention the matter before the court but it declined permission, asking Sidhu to give a letter, requesting more time to surrender to the registry. "Can't mention like this," it said.

After Delhi, Punjab farmers gather on Chandigarh borders over demands

Punjab & Haryana HC stays arrest of Bagga till May 10
The BJP leader moved to the High Court while challenging the non-bailable arrest warrant issued against him by a Mohali Court on Saturday. The urgent hearing of the plea was held at the residence of Justice Anoop Chitkara in Chandigarh. Earlier, the High Court on Saturday adjourned the hearing on Bagga's case, in which the police of three states were involved, till May 10.
BSF recovers drone close to International Border in Punjab
The Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday said that its troopers have recovered one drone in a wheat field near village Havelian in Punjab's Tarn Taran district. The quadcopter was found in the wheat field, which is 1,000 meters away from the International Border.
Red Fort violence accused Deep Sidhu dies in road accident
Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu, who was arrested in connection with the violence at Red Fort during farmers' tractor rally on Republic Day 2021, died in a road crash near the spot near the Delhi border where the farmers held a year-long protest against the three controversial farm laws. He was travelling in a private vehicle along with his friend from the US, when the accident occurred.
