In a deeply compassionate message, Sadhguru offered his deep sympathies to the families of the tourists whose lives were brutally cut short in the dastardly ambush laid by heavily armed militants in the Baisaran region of Pahalgam.

Popular spiritual leader and founder of the Isha Foundation, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, vehemently denounced the ghastly terror attack that occurred in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and advocated for a strict and unflinching stance against the perpetrators of such violence.

Condemning the attack in the strongest possible terms, Sadhguru went on to explore the wider motives driving terrorism, emphasizing the necessity of a united and strategic national response.

"The goal of terrorism is not war but to incapacitate a society with fear. The goal is to instill fear, polarize the society, disrupt the economic development of the nation and ensure lawlessness at all levels," he penned on X.

He underscored the importance of a firm reaction to such threats: "If we want to maintain and cultivate the sovereignty of this country, these elements must be dealt with an iron hand and a steely long-term resolve."

Stepping back from short-term retribution, Sadhguru promoted long-term solutions addressing underlying causes. He referred to the importance of enhancing education, economic means, and social welfare as instruments for fighting radicalization and instability.

"There are bigger, long-term solutions—more equitable distribution of education, economic opportunities, wealth, and welfare at all levels," he stated.

He also exhorted the nation to stand united in the midst of such hardship, putting aside religious, caste, creed, or political differences to stand by those on the frontlines.

"For the time being, it is of paramount significance to stand as a nation above all narrow religious, caste, creed or political divides and to stand behind our security forces at all levels to carry out their duties," noted Sadhguru.

The attack, which killed at least 26 civilians, has evoked a large-scale response from security agencies. Various agencies have launched a coordinated investigation and manhunt against the assailants, with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) sending a senior-grade team, headed by an Inspector General, to assist local authorities in the investigation.
