The Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya is poised to make a global impact, with live streaming and celebrations planned in iconic locations such as Times Square in New York and the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Uttar Pradesh (UP) officials are collaborating with national agencies and the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to ensure comprehensive coverage on January 21 and 22.
Preparations include live streaming of the ceremony across various cities, with rallies and shows supporting the temple scheduled in California, Washington, New York, Chicago, and several European and Canadian cities. The Times Square billboard will showcase the event, aiming to attract a vast audience.
Global landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Times Square are expected to draw large crowds tuning into the ceremony. Parisian viewers will experience the event in the early morning, while those in New York will gather around midnight.
The live broadcast will be disseminated worldwide, allowing followers of Lord Ram to participate in the ceremony from anywhere.
In Lucknow, traders' associations, led by the UP Adarsh Vyapar Mandal (UPAVM), are planning the 'Shri Ram Campaign' to adorn the city with Hindu-themed banners, hoardings, and flags. This initiative aims to create a festive atmosphere similar to Diwali, celebrating the "homecoming" of Lord Ram. UPAVM President Sanjay Gupta highlighted the collective effort to decorate major markets with flags, banners, cutouts of Lord Ram, and replicas of the Ram temple. LED screens at various locations will broadcast live coverage of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22, including the Saryu River 'aarti'. Traders will also organize hymn recitals and provide food to devotees enroute to Ayodhya.
