Prime Minister Tobgay Highlights India's Trusted Partnership with Bhutan

During their extensive discussions held on Thursday evening, amidst Tobgay's five-day visit to India, he emphasized the invaluable role India plays in Bhutan's progress.

Bhutan's Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, expressed profound gratitude to his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, for India's consistent support as a dependable, esteemed partner in Bhutan's developmental endeavors.

During their extensive discussions held on Thursday evening, amidst Tobgay's five-day visit to India, he emphasized the invaluable role India plays in Bhutan's progress.

Scheduled for a visit to Bhutan the following week, Prime Minister Modi engaged in a comprehensive review of bilateral relations with Tobgay, covering a spectrum of areas such as infrastructure development, connectivity, energy, hydropower cooperation, and the facilitation of people-to-people exchanges.

An official statement highlighted their mutual commitment to bolstering the special and exceptional friendship between India and Bhutan. The Ministry of External Affairs reiterated Tobgay's recognition of India's unwavering support in Bhutan's development priorities.

Additionally, Tobgay, on behalf of the Bhutanese King, extended a cordial invitation to Modi to visit Bhutan, an invitation graciously accepted by the Indian Prime Minister.
