Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a comprehensive session with his Council of Ministers on Sunday, dedicated to formulating the vision document for "Viksit Bharat: 2047" and a detailed action plan for the forthcoming five years.
According to government insiders, the meeting extensively discussed a 100-day agenda aimed at prompt execution following the formation of a new government in May.
The roadmap for "Viksit Bharat" is the culmination of over two years of meticulous groundwork, employing a holistic "whole of government" strategy that engaged all ministries and entailed broad consultations with state governments, academia, industry bodies, civil society, scientific organizations, and youth mobilization for feedback.
"More than 2,700 meetings, workshops, and seminars were convened across various levels, garnering input from over 20 lakh young individuals," disclosed an official.
Crafted with precision, the roadmap for "Viksit Bharat" features a comprehensive framework delineating the national vision, aspirations, goals, and actionable points. Its objectives span diverse domains, encompassing economic growth, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), enhanced quality of life, business facilitation, infrastructure development, and social welfare initiatives.
During the meeting, several ministries articulated their proposals, marking what could be the final collective deliberation prior to the announcement of Lok Sabha polls.
