PM Modi Set to Unveil Ayodhya Projects Worth Rs 11,100 Crore on Dec 29

The emphasis of these initiatives is on creating modern, world-class infrastructure in Ayodhya, enhancing connectivity, and revitalizing civic amenities while preserving the city's rich historical and cultural heritage.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to Ayodhya on December 29 is set to mark the dedication and laying of foundations for multiple development projects totaling more than Rs 15,700 crore in Uttar Pradesh. These projects encompass approximately Rs 11,100 crore earmarked for the development of Ayodhya and its surrounding regions, along with projects valued at about Rs 4,600 crore across Uttar Pradesh.

The emphasis of these initiatives is on creating modern, world-class infrastructure in Ayodhya, enhancing connectivity, and revitalizing civic amenities while preserving the city's rich historical and cultural heritage. The slated inauguration includes a new airport, a redeveloped railway station, expanded and beautified roads, and various other civic infrastructure enhancements in Ayodhya.

Phase 1 of Ayodhya's state-of-the-art airport is being developed at a cost exceeding Rs 1,450 crore, designed to accommodate around 10 lakh passengers annually within a 6,500 sq. meter terminal building. Similarly, Phase 1 of the redeveloped Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station, constructed at a cost surpassing Rs 240 crore, features modern amenities such as lifts, escalators, food plazas, shops, and waiting halls.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will inaugurate three railway projects worth Rs 2,300 crore aimed at bolstering the rail infrastructure in the region. He will also unveil four newly redeveloped, expanded, and enhanced roads in Ayodhya—Rampath, Bhaktipath, Dharampath, and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path—to enhance accessibility to the forthcoming Shri Ram Mandir.

Moreover, there are plans to dedicate several projects to fortify civic infrastructure, beautify public spaces in and around Ayodhya, lay the foundation stones for a greenfield township costing over Rs 2,180 crore, and introduce the Vashishtha Kunj Residential Scheme amounting to around Rs 300 crore.

The visit is geared towards launching comprehensive developmental endeavors, bolstering connectivity, and enhancing the aesthetic and infrastructural facets of Ayodhya while retaining its historical significance.
