PM Modi Reviews Development Status of Noida Film City

The Prime Minister's curiosity about the project was evident as he inaugurated an exhibition showcasing various development initiatives across Uttar Pradesh and explored its sidelines to gain insights into the state's major projects.

During a groundbreaking event in Lucknow, where projects exceeding Rs 10 lakh crore were unveiled, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday reviewed the progress of the forthcoming Noida International Film City, according to officials.

The Prime Minister's curiosity about the project was evident as he inaugurated an exhibition showcasing various development initiatives across Uttar Pradesh and explored its sidelines to gain insights into the state's major projects.

Accompanied by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, PM Modi specifically visited the stall representing the Noida International Film City to gather more information about its ongoing development.

The Uttar Pradesh government recently awarded the contract for the construction of the greenfield film city to Bayview Projects, a collaboration between filmmaker Boney Kapoor and real estate developer Bhutani Infra. The film city, planned as a public-private partnership, will span over 1,000 acres of land in Sector 21 of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), with an initial phase covering 230 acres.

Bayview Projects has outlined seven distinct zones for the film city, including production and studio spaces, a film university, areas for craftsmanship, administrative centers, and zones dedicated to entertainment and leisure activities.

Ashish Bhutani, CEO of Bhutani Infra, expressed optimism about the film city's potential to stimulate business growth and generate employment opportunities once operational. He emphasized the significance of events like the ground-breaking ceremony in promoting global partnerships and attracting investments to the Indian real estate sector.

Additionally, PM Modi launched over 14,000 projects valued at more than Rs 10 lakh crore across various sectors during the fourth ground-breaking ceremony in Lucknow, which coincided with the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit. These projects encompass manufacturing, renewable energy, food processing, housing, hospitality, entertainment, and education.

The event witnessed the presence of Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, along with numerous industrialists and representatives from leading global and Indian companies, signaling strong support for the state's development initiatives.
