Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday embarked on a thrilling journey aboard the Tejas fighter jet. The prime minister later said that the encounter was not only exhilarating but also significantly heightened his confidence in the prowess of our nation's indigenous capabilities.

"Successfully completed a sortie on the Tejas. The experience was incredibly enriching, significantly bolstering my confidence in our country's indigenous capabilities, and leaving me with a renewed sense of pride and optimism about our national potential," PM Modi shared on X while sharing snapshots of his Tejas flight.

Extending his heartfelt congratulations, Modi commended the Indian Air Force, DRDO, HAL, and all Indians for their contributions to this achievement.
 

It's noteworthy that the Tejas, a single-seater fighter aircraft, hosted the Prime Minister in its twin-seat trainer variant, utilized by both the Air Force and the Navy.

Designed as a 4.5-generation multi-role fighter aircraft, the Light Combat Aircraft Tejas excels in providing offensive air support and close combat assistance for ground operations. Crafted by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), the LCA was initially intended for the Indian Air Force. 
 

However, ongoing tests are underway to assess its adaptability for Ground Maritime Operations, exemplifying its versatility and significance in bolstering India's defense capabilities.
