Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently commended the Indian Navy for their heroic operation that successfully freed a merchant ship from pirates in the North Arabian Sea. At the 58th conference of the DGPs and the IGPs, he highlighted this remarkable achievement, praising the Navy's quick and efficient response to the distress call of the merchant ship.
The operation involved the rescue of 21 sailors, including 15 Indians, from a vessel approximately 2,000 km away from the Indian coast. The Indian Navy's marine commandos executed a swift and successful rescue mission, with the rescued Indian sailors expressing their gratitude and admiration for the bravery of the commandos by chanting 'Bharat Mata ki Jai.'
In addition to this operation, Prime Minister Modi mentioned India's achievement in its space exploration efforts with the Aditya L1 solar mission. The spacecraft has reached its destination at the L1 point, situated around 1.5 million kilometers from Earth, where it will closely observe the Sun's activities without being affected by eclipses or occultations.
The success of the Aditya L1 mission, following the victorious Chandrayaan-3 soft landing on the lunar surface, stands as a testament to India's scientific prowess and capability in the field of space exploration.
