Persistent Woes: Delhi's AQI Remains in 'Severe' Category

With the Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching concerning levels across various areas in the national capital, residents endured severe air quality conditions on Friday.

Bawana station faced similar conditions, with PM 2.5 peaking at 500 and PM 10 at 498. CO levels were at 105, falling under the 'moderate' category, and NO2 at 55, classified as 'satisfactory.'

Dwarka sector-8 station witnessed severe air quality with PM 2.5 at 485 and PM 10 at 421. CO maintained a satisfactory level at 100.

At the Indira Gandhi International Airport T3 area, the air quality was severe, with PM 2.5 at 446 and PM 10 at 377, categorized as 'very poor.' CO levels reached 104, classified as 'moderate.'

Delhi Technical University (DTU) station reported severe air quality with PM 10 at 444 and PM 2.5 at 344, falling into the 'very poor' category. NO2 recorded at 226, categorized as 'poor,' while CO levels were at 108, considered 'moderate.'

Jahangirpuri displayed severe air quality conditions, recording PM 2.5 at 436 and PM 10 at 401. CO levels reached 139, and NO2 stood at 121, both falling under the 'moderate' category.

It's crucial to note that the AQI ranges from zero to 500, where zero to 50 is considered 'good,' 51 to 100 'satisfactory,' 101 to 200 'moderate,' 201 to 300 'poor,' 301 to 400 'very poor,' and 401 to 500 'severe.'
