Delhi's Air Quality Maintains 'Severe' Status

Bawana station reported PM 2.5 hitting 500 and PM 10 at 495, with CO at 101, classified as 'moderate,' and NO2 at 28, considered 'good.' Meanwhile, Dwarka sector-8 station marked PM 2.5 at 481 and PM 10 at 414, both in the 'severe' category, while CO remained at 86 in 'satisfactory' levels.

Delhi continues to grapple with alarming levels of air pollution, maintaining a 'severe' Air Quality Index (AQI) in various locations on Thursday morning. At the Anand Vihar station, the AQI reached critical levels with PM 2.5 at 500 and PM 10 at 459. Carbon Monoxide (CO) measured 85, and NO2 recorded 57, both falling within the 'satisfactory' range according to CPCB at 9 a.m.

Indira Gandhi International Airport T3 area exhibited 'severe' air quality, registering PM 2.5 at 472 and PM 10 at 408. CO levels were at 83, categorized as 'satisfactory.' Delhi Technical University (DTU) station reported PM 10 at 461 ('severe') and PM 2.5 at 354 ('very poor'). CO levels dropped to 153 ('moderate'), with NO2 at 92 ('satisfactory').

Jahangirpuri faced severe pollution, recording PM 2.5 at 500 and PM 10 at 477. CO measured 90, maintaining 'satisfactory' levels, and NO2 was at 16, classified as 'good.' It's crucial to note that AQI between 0 and 50 is 'good,' 51 to 100 is 'satisfactory,' 101 to 200 is 'moderate,' 201 to 300 is 'poor,' 301 to 400 is 'very poor,' and 401 to 500 is 'severe.'
