2 terrorists killed in encounter at Jammu and Kashmir 's Kulgam

"The killed two categorised Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists have been identified as Mohammad Shafi Ganie of Batpora, Kulgam, and Mohammad Asif Wani alias Yawar of Takia Gopalpora, Kulgam. Two AK-47 rifles, ammunition recovered," Jammu and Kashmir Police quoting Additional Director General of Police (Kashmir), Vijay Kumar tweeted.
Delhi Liquor Scam: CBI makes first arrest, nabs businessman Vijay Nair

Sources told IANS that Vijay Nair was arrested from Delhi and now the CBI will seek his custodial remand. Nair, the former CEO of Only Much Louder, an entertainment and event management firm, and one of the prime suspects in the liquor scam, had gone to London. He returned to join the probe and was placed under arrest.

Sikh pilgrims to visit Pakistan on Oct 28, to participate in centenary event

The event will be organized at the Gurdwara Panja Sahib located in Hasan Abdal, some 45 km away from Rawalpindi. Harmeet Singh Kalka, President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), on Tuesday said that the pilgrims will reach Pakistan from the Attari-Wagah border checkpoint on October 28 and will return to Amritsar on November 2.
Modi meets Japanese PM in Tokyo, remembers Shinzo Abe

India reports 3,230 fresh Covid cases, 32 deaths

With the fresh fatalities, the death toll mounted to 5,28,562 as per the report. Meanwhile, the active caseload of the country presently stands at 42,358 cases, accounting for 0.10 per cent of the country's total positive cases. The recovery of 4,255 patients in the last 24 hours took the cumulative tally to 4,40,04,553. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.72 per cent.

PFI leader Abdul Rehman reportedly used to be national Secretary of the SIMI, they said, adding that Abdul Sattar, the state Secretary in PFI, was also associated with SIMI in similar capacity. Sources also claimed that PFI leaders had allegedly been hatching conspiracy with Pakistan-based handlers to carry out anti-national activities. They were also getting instruction from Gulf and Middle Eastern countries, the sources added.
Government blocks 45 videos from 10 YouTube channels: Officials

Orders to block the concerned videos were issued on September 23 under the provisions of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021. The blocked videos had cumulative viewership of over 1 crore 30 lakh.
PM Modi to depart for Tokyo for Shinzo Abe's funeral

"I am travelling to Tokyo tonight to participate in the State Funeral of former PM Shinzo Abe, a dear friend and a great champion of India-Japan friendship," the Prime Minister Modi tweeted. Apart from meeting his counterpart Fumio Kishida, Modi would be separately meeting Abe's widow Akie Abe to express his condolences.
