In a slight improvement, Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 431 on Saturday morning, according to data from the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR). The AQI on Friday night deteriorated to 437 from Thursday's 418, said SAFAR.

India rejects references to J&K in China-Pak joint statement

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that the references were "unwarranted". Adding that India has consistently rejected such statements, Bagchi said that the union territories of J&K are and will remain India's integral part. Commenting on the China-Pakistan-Economic Corridor (CPEC), he said India has consistently conveyed "protests and concerns" to China and Pakistan as it includes projects in the "sovereign territory" of India.
