Veteran Congress leader Motilal Vora passes away at 93
Vora, one of the tallest leaders of the Congress, held several positions. He had served as Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and was also the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. He was a Rajya Sabha MP from Chhattisgarh till April this year and held several positions in the party, including the post of treasurer.

Governor Bandaru Datatrya has given an assent to the Himachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act of 2019 that was passed unanimously in the assembly on August 30, 2019. A notification regarding the implementation of the law was issued by the Home Department on December 18.

Demand rises for returning hospitals to non-Covid status
The march would start from the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) hospital and end at the Delhi Secretariat where the students would submit their demands to the Delhi Health Secretary. The students demand the medical colleges be restored to the earlier non-COVID status and resumption of clinical practices of over 3,000 Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) students studying there.
