Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh on Monday released the revised CBI Crime Manual in the presence of the agency's Director Rishi Kumar Shukla and several other senior officials. He also congratulated the agency for bringing out the updated CBI Crime Manual after 15 years by keeping sight of latest developments in law, investigation techniques and procedures.
Centre to form committee to commemorate 125th birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose
The committee will decide on the activities for a year long commemoration starting January 23 next year. The committee will be headed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The commemoration is a tribute to Bose for his bravery and indelible contribution to resisting colonialism, standing up for the progress and wellbeing of his fellow Indians.
Bengaluru Riots Case: NIA arrests 17 Social Democratic Party of India, Popular Front of India activists
An NIA spokesperson in Delhi said, "NIA arrested 17 SDPI/PFI leaders/activists for their involvement in the violent attack and large-scale rioting at KG Halli Police Station in Bengaluru on August 11 this year following a Facebook post by Naveen, nephew of Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy."
Covid-19 Update: After battling surge, Delhi's cases dip to three digits
The latest figures of the case tally now stands at 6,17,808 while the death toll has reached 10,304. Of the tests conducted in the last 24 hours, 34,288 were done through RT-PCR and 28,152 were Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT). The capital city has conducted 78,62,807 tests so far, according to the bulletin by the Delhi Health Department.

Travellers from UK to India to be tested, temporary ban on flights till Dec 31
India on Monday announced a temporary ban on flights coming from the UK till 11.59 p.m. on December 31. The suspension commences from 11.59 p.m. on December 22. Earlier on Monday, the Health Ministry called an emergency meeting of the Joint Monitoring Group and the Vaccine Task Force to discuss the emergence of the mutated variant of coronavirus in the UK.
Kerala to hold special assembly session for resolution against Farm Laws
Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan on Monday gave the nod for convening a special session after the Pinarayi Vijayan government sent a request for convening a special one-day session for this. In the 140-member Kerala Assembly, the BJP has a lone member in O.Rajagopal and hence the question of the assembly passing a unanimous resolution is most unlikely.

Railways in talks with govt for transportation of Covid-19 vaccine
A senior railway ministry official, wishing anonymity, said that once the decision is taken for transporting the vaccine, they will announce. He said that there are several "technical issues" with implications as to the temperature required for the transportation of the vaccine and others.
