Oxygen express from Chhattisgarh reaches Delhi

Union Railway Minister, Piyush Goyal tweeted, "Oxygen Express has reached Delhi from Raigarh, Chhattisgarh with Oxygen for patients in the capital. Indian Railways is leaving no stone unturned in our collective fight against COVID-19, and ensuring sufficient availability of life-saving resources across the country."
Delhi hospitals struggling amid rising Covid cases

A patient was seen lying on the ground for hours in the RML Hospital. However, the security personnel on the gate did not let the patient go inside citing "instructions from the higher-ups" even as the family members kept pleading. Kewal Kumar, a resident of Paschim Puri in Delhi, was having breathing problems following which he was taken to a private hospital from where he was referred to the LNJP after the doctors detected corona-like symptoms.

The state recorded 524 deaths -- down from the highest 832 on Sunday, taking up its toll to 65,284 now, the worst in the country. Dropping below the 50,000 mark in over a fortnight, from the record high of 68,631 (April 18), the daily case tally was 48,700, taking the cumulative total to 43,43,727.
